RentWise Sign-up

RentWise is a program to help renters obtain and keep rental housing and to be successful renters through education. The six-module program encourages renters to take care of and maintain their rental unit; how to reduce conflict between tenants and landlords, along with tips to help improve the renting experience, manage money, and information on rights and responsibilities. The modules focus on Communicating with Landlord and Neighbors, Managing Money, Finding a Place to Call Home, Getting Through the Rental Process, Taking Care of Home, and When You Move Out.

Sign-up and participation in the 3 day workshop where we provide: workbook resources, structured lesson plan, learning activities, landlord presentations, and RentWise Graduate Renters Certificate (which can be submitted and considered with rental applications) requires $5.00 to be paid to High Plains CDC. Payment and sign-up must be completed by September 16th, 2024 to participate in the workshop. Please Provide Cash or Check to our office at:

As a part of the RentWise- Renters Education Program, being held at the Platte Valley Bank Community Center (September 23rd, 24th, and 26th)- High Plains CDC is offering an opportunity for those interested in participating in the workshop to talk with instructors and receive a preliminary grasp of what to expect, as well as engage in proactive housing dialogue with other interested participants (if they so choose). This email list is a good way to find out come September 23rd if RentWise is right for you, and let us at High Plains CDC know what individual concerns you want to see covered in this RentWise Series. RentWise is scheduled at Platte Valley Bank Community Center on September 23rd, 24th, and 26th (Monday, Tuesday, AND Thursday. The roughly 2 module per day (6 modules total) sessions start at 4:00pm. Registration costs is $5. This RentWise series is being provided by High Plains CDC and Platte Valley Bank Community Center, and is open to the general public.
